Love or Loathe: Ankle Socks

This look is from last week's Moschino Cheap & Chic show. I think colorful ankle socks with a dress is sort of cute. I don't think I'd wear it in the height of summer and risk the funny tan lines, but it could be a cute fall collegiate look. Then there's the other matter of the open toed shoes. Would you wear colored ankle socks with a dress or shorts? Would you wear them with peep toes or sandals?

I would... were I 3 years old. ;) Seriously though, they remind me of something I would have worn when I was very young. I don't think I'd wear them now.

I only wear knee socks. Ever. Regardless of the type of shoe, I have a matching set of knee socks. I am pretty sure it is not chic in any way...

Alice, I love knee socks. Chic is not as important as being you. I should do a post about them now that it's fall.

I too am a complete knee sock addict. But this look is really quirky and cute. So long as they don't have little bows or lace at the top I don't think they translate as that young. Especially with a cool funky color. I would definitely wear this both open toed and closed. I kind of prefer open, actually.

Happy 10th Anniversary... and goodbye.

What we looked like in 2009 Ten years ago I created, Fashion Me Fabulous, wrote up a handful of posts, picked a layout and send it all to my friend, Jael. “I’ve started a fashion blog. October is the perfect month for anyone who loves a dramatic look. Because of Halloween, you can get away with more in the makeup department than you can the rest of the year. You want to try false eyelashes? Go for it. You want to color your eyebrows? Do it. Color outside the lines with eyeshadow? Why not?
