Save or Splurge: Tweezers
If you've ever read a fashion magazine, you've seen an advertisement for Tweezerman tweezers. I've been looking at that ad for 10 years now. When I started plucking my eyebrows I had those $1 stainless steel tweezers from the drugstore. They work fine.
My mom bought me Tweezermans for a Christmas stocking stuffer a few years ago. These $20 tweezers are really nice. They do work better than the $1 tweezers or even the slightly nicer $5 tweezers, but are they worth the money?
I've seen a bunch of similar looking drug store tweezers such as these Revelon Expert Tweezers for around $6. I don't know if they work as well, but they really look similar.
However, Tweezerman tweezers come with a pretty good guarantee. They have free lifetime sharpening. They can be repaired. And if they break beyond repair they can be replaced for half the price. This sharpen/repair philoshophy is certianly more sustainable than getting rid of old tweezer when it's time for new ones. I've had my Tweezermans for a few years, and I'm just now starting to think they need sharpening, which is pretty good. Also, you can get fun colors and patterns.
My vote is splurge for the Tweezerman tweezers. What do you think?
