Gift Guide: Color Wheel
Experimenting with color is one of my favorite things to do with my wardrobe. A couple years ago, Jael Paris evaluated my wardrobe and banned me from buying black for a while. Now, I have a rainbow of colors to mix with all that basic black. Whether you have a basic black friend or a friend who loves all things bright, the gift of color is a pretty fun gift to get. Here are some gift ideas that come in a ton of colors and are affordable enough that you could buy multiple colors of each item.
A single cami wouldn't be much of a gift, but for a friend who loves to layer, camis in an array of colors will provide her with hours of wardrobe expanding fun. Forever 21's Fab Knit Cami comes in 28 colors and costs only $2.50.
Tights are not only a great way to add color to all of Fall's black, but they are also stylish and warm. We Love Colors' Solid Color Tights come in 45 colors and cost only $8 a pair. We Love Colors also sells knee-high sport socks in the same 45 colors for $6 a pair.
Headbands are another great way to add colors to an outfit. American Apparel sells this fun, shiny headband in 20 colors for $4.50 each.
Simple bead necklaces add a pop of color and are easy to layer for lots of color fun. They are easy to find at thrift, vintage, and resale shops at really low prices. Try giving them in or with a fun jewelry holder. The pictured necklaces are from Cute 4 Less for $3 each.
Fight the winter drab with colorful cold-weather accessories. Many stores sell pashminas in a rainbow of colors (like this one from Forever 21 for $6.50). And knit gloves come in also any color you can imagine and often in 2-packs (like these from Target for $1 per 2-pack on sale).
