Love or Loathe: Artsy Ankle Boots

First of all, the price point of nearly $400 gave me serious pause about putting these boots in "the horror". If they were a $20 deal from Target, it may be fun to wear Impressionism on my feet. Maybe. What do you think of these painting print ankle boots from Icon?

These look like men's shoes, and I think, for an artsy, cool man with an otherwise great outfit on, they are excellent, but I am much too girlie to saunter around in those.

$400 or $20, those are fug. They look like men's booties or something. The *idea* of a painted bootie is cool but these are lacking something. Not edgy enough to be cool or abstract enough to be avant-garde . . . they're just ugly.

I think they are quite ugly! Icon has some cool art slide/mule type shoes that are nice, but these are definitely lacking.

You're right. They do look like men's shoes! There was something off about the shape but I couldn't figure it out.

Maybe if the painting were different, if they were cut lower, and the heel was higher, but there's too much about them that I dislike. Loathe.

I'm not a fan. I think that the shape in itself is ugly, no matter what you paint onto it.

Happy 10th Anniversary... and goodbye.

What we looked like in 2009 Ten years ago I created, Fashion Me Fabulous, wrote up a handful of posts, picked a layout and send it all to my friend, Jael. “I’ve started a fashion blog.
