Paris Fashion Week Favorites So Far
Perhaps due to the economic crisis, Gareth Pugh showed fewer looks than at his Paris debut last year. At first glance this collection is not as fanciful as previous efforts, but on closer inspection many of the squared-off, draped looks are coated in a fine haze of pins.
Moving on to another lover of avant garde in black and white, Rick Owens showed leathers with sheer panels. It was typical Owens, but I have a feeling this may be one of his most commercially successful collections.
Bruno Pieters presented a series of mini dresses with understated pleating and seams.
Things to love at Nina Ricci: flowing pants, sheer, asymmetrical suits, bold gowns. Things to be afraid of: the shoes.
