Shoe of the Week: Flats for a Sprained Ankle

I sprained my ankle recently (I fell down. It's not a good story). I'm almost back to walking normal, but I'm still slow. I'm also stuck in flats. I have three more weeks before I'm supposed to start wearing high heels again, which creates a problem--I don't have flats.

I do shop for flats, but I never find flats that fit like heels do. They always give me blisters or hurt or something. It's still winter here so slides and sandals aren't the best options. Oh yeah, and I'm broke.

This is where these Mossimo Supply Co. Odell Ballet Flats from Target come in. They are cute. They are simple so they will go with everything. They have a rubber sole so they won't be slippery (no more falling down please!). They are super soft and pliable so they don't dig in or pinch anywhere. They run true to size so the half size up fits over thin socks and my neoprene ankle support.

Best of all, they cost $12.99. They also come in several colors and prints (but you'll have to dig around Target's website to find them because they stupidly list every color as an entirely different shoe.)

I can never find flats that don't give me lots of blisters either. I'll have to check these out.
