Love or Loathe: Jumpsuits and Rompers

While we can all agree drop-crotch jumpsuits are nothing less than horrible, I'm starting to fall for jumpsuits and rompers. It's not the easiest look to pull off, and some of them are poorly cut. No doubt, finding one such item that fits you perfectly everywhere would be a bear. However, I've seen a few lately that were nicely styled. Those with a defined waist are much more appealing than their jersey coverall counterparts from last year.

Can jumpsuits be cute or have I been drinking the fashion mag Kool-aid?

I've always thought rompers were adorable and are a great way to look pulled together in summer. But jumpsuits are pushing it. No matter how modern the details, they still scream disco to me. Unless that's the look you're going for. ;)

I really think jumpsuits and rompers are best left on the pages of fashion mags. Very few women could actually pull off that kind of look.

I think that they can work if, and only if, they fit properly. The sad thing is, lots of people don't even make sure that their pants fit the right way. If you have pants and a top attached to each other, probably about 99% of the people wearing them won't have a proper fit.

I think I like rompers. Jumpsuits usually cause to much of a problem with fit, and I've rarely seen someone wear a jumpsuit well.

Happy 10th Anniversary... and goodbye.

What we looked like in 2009 Ten years ago I created, Fashion Me Fabulous, wrote up a handful of posts, picked a layout and send it all to my friend, Jael. “I’ve started a fashion blog. What do you think?” She gave me a few tips, wrote a couple “guest posts” and before long became my blogging partner. Together, we built a blog and community I could have never built alone. October is the perfect month for anyone who loves a dramatic look. Because of Halloween, you can get away with more in the makeup department than you can the rest of the year.
