Project Design: Prufrock Jewelry

Project Design is our own friendly competition where we put together collection of independent designers for you to rate on your very own imaginary runway.

April is National Poetry month, and becca and I plan to spend the weekend at one of Chicago's big poetry bashes. Poetry tells us that April is also the cruelest month (so true). In honor of this April collision, this week's Project Design focuses on images from my favorite poem, "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" by T.S. Eliot.

"The yellow fog that rubs its back upon the window-panes,
The yellow smoke that rubs its muzzle on the window-panes
Licked its tongue into the corners of the evening,"
Yellow cat stained glass brooch by Virginie
"I have measured out my life with coffee spoons"
Have a Coffee with Me ring by Sora Designs
"And when I am formulated, sprawling on a pin,
When I am pinned and wriggling on the wall"
Green lucite bracelet with real beetles by Kolos Studio
"I should have been a pair of ragged claws
Scuttling across the floors of silent seas..."
I have heard the mermaids singing"
A Mermaid's Treasure by Jewels of Avallon
"Do I dare to eat a peach?"
Apricot gemstone necklace by Tefi
"Prufrock" Poetry Cufflinks by Tilly Bloom

I don't know, but the cat Brooch looks like he's saying something fantastic in a Pepe le Peu accent.

One of my favorite poems, too. I love what you did with the inspiration!
