Paris Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010
Who: Miu Miu
What it made us think of: Middle school girls trying to look grown up.
What we liked: The cat and bird prints will be nice broken into other outfits, big eyelashes, skin tone sheaths with sequins
What we didn't: Some of the clothes, especially with how they were styled with a braided ponytail and chunky platform shoes, came across as hipster childish.Who: Andrew Gn
What it made us think of: An emboldened museum curator.
What we liked: Lattice sandals, prim blouses, sexy stockings, fun hair for a night out
What we didn't: The complete lack of detail shots. Sequin butterflies.
Who: Giambattista Valli
What it made us think of: A marriage of Chanel and Lanvin...on safari.
What we liked: Gorgeous colorful shoes,
What we didn't: Some of the fringe looked like arts and crafts with old cassette tapes. Would it kill them to let the poor models wear bras?
Who: Lanvin
What it made us think of: The best of the 80s.
What we liked: Puffs, drapes, ruffles, shoes, bags, jewelry
What we didn't: The jumpsuits, which we fear will be on a red carpet sooner than the dresses.
