Milan Fashion Week Spring Summer 2011
Who: Missoni
What it made us think of: Around the World in 80 days with each culture's version of hip hop as your soundtrack
What we liked: Dizzying takes on classic Missoni prints, color blocking with prints, texture, floppy square hats
What we didn't: I'm not sure how I feel about the alphabet and words on clothing, but they were worked into most of the prints in a pretty interesting way.
Who: Luisa Beccaria
What it made us think of: Garden Party/Garden Wedding/Tea in the Garden
What we liked: Soft, pretty, feminine everything
What we didn't: Several pieces were nice but very unoriginal. The proportions seemed off in places (maybe because of the use of Socialites as models since they aren't all the same height).
Who: Dsquared²
What it made us think of: Stealing clothes from your boyfriend
What we liked: Menswear for women, loose pants, jackets
What we didn't: Lack of denim
