Milan Fashion Week Fall Winter 2011: Versace, Alberta Ferretti, Dolce & Gabbana
Who: Versace
What it made us think of: 60s stewardesses flying from Greece to Rio.
What we liked: big gold hardware, teal, purple, yellow, thick scroll work, neck detail, bags, boots
What we didn't: So sick of open toed boots. I don't see how some of these pieces can be worn for winter.Who: Alberta Ferretti
What it made us think of: A new hotel in Vegas themed Mod Girls of the Round Table.
What we liked: abstract patterns, fall brights, boxy coats, beading
What we didn't: I love thigh-highs and boots and velvet, but all of that in one place is too much.Who: Dolce & Gabbana
What it made us think of: Newsies to the Stars! the musical coming to ABC Family and not at all starring Christian Bale.
What we liked: menswear, velvet, jaunty hats, wingtips,
What we didn't: 84 looks? That's twice what Fendi had. Learn to edit. Start with the look-a-like star dresses, fanny packs and hideous crop suit pants.
