The Horror: Not Here, Please

When we discussed who you dress for, several of you said the occasion is far more important than who sees you. I must concede that I also think about the occasion after I've figured out what mood of clothing I'm in. Espadrilles are fun summer casual, but maybe not best for a funeral. The rock star studded leather jacket should perhaps not make an appearance at a formal wedding.I love corsets but they're not for work. I love feathered fascinators, but they were too distracting for my kids when I was tutoring. For most of us, work is the primary occasion we think of when dressing. Certain things are for evenings and weekends, not work. So can someone explain to me why one of my coworkers wears something like this everyday? But it's not always a fuzzy bear hat. Sometimes it's a giant squid. It's a professional squid.

Where would you wear a fuzzy bear hat? It seems right for football games and tromping in the woods. Other ideas?

Oh boy, if you go tromping in the woods up here wearing that one you will get shot! Too ugly...

I saw a bunch of people wearing them at a music festival. I excused them because I think it was their way of finding their friends in a crowd. You'd think there'd be a less sweltering option.

I forgot about hunting season! No woods tromping then.

The first thing I though about when I saw this was that movie "Where The Wild Things Are".I guess you would wear something like that when you are in grade school and it's cold (O_o)?
Your co-worker...go figure ^_^

Oh, there's another company that sells these. The models wear the hats, underwear and body oil. Crazy!

I didn't get it the first time I saw these and I still don't, I'm on your side with this!

Music festivals! Especially psy-trance ones where lots of people wear crazy costumes.
My partner actually wants to but me one of these to wear at the next big festival we are going to. I'm all for it--they are cute, fun, and warm, and just the kind of thing for the spirit of a fun festival.

This would be cute (and warm) for a winter/sledding/snowing date, but not a first one!!!! I call my boyfriend, Jeremy, Mr. Bear (Jerbear) and he calls me Mrs. Bear, because we are pathetically adorable and make most people in the vicinity gag on our sheer cuteness, so I would pretty much force him to wear this.

If I tell you ladies this one sells for over $100, how does that influence your opinion? I could see getting a cheap one at Forever 21, but $100 is craz-balls!

I would wear it:
- if I'm at a fun event and feeling quirky or cute.
- if it is freaking cold with 10000mph wind.

Otherwise a firm no. no no no. no office wear.
