Spring's Blank Slate

It's ironic that at a time when all the magazines are screaming color and all the stores have special showcases of brights, that I -- a color queen -- would be so excited about white. With so much neon and so many patterns and so many bold accessories being on trend all at once, I feel white provides a calming tie to what could be a very noisy, Salvador Dali sort of look. In case you're craving white dresses after last week's style post, here's a helping of blank slates to pile your trends on. (And they're almost all cotton, so you can clean them with Oxi or bleach in the event of living.)

as much as i love the white dress trend and found a perfect one @ h&m that i loved to pieces, i returned it because they are just so much work and it didn't have washing instructions. i suppose i'll have to wait around for the right cotton one maybe? or my wedding dress ha

I've had a white cotton sundress for years. It even had tomato sauce splattered on it at one point, but it's always cleaned up nice. Fabric choice is very important with white dresses.

Happy 10th Anniversary... and goodbye.

What we looked like in 2009 Ten years ago I created, Fashion Me Fabulous, wrote up a handful of posts, picked a layout and send it all to my friend, Jael. “I’ve started a fashion blog. What do you think?” She gave me a few tips, wrote a couple “guest posts” and before long became my blogging partner. Together, we built a blog and community I could have never built alone.
