Etsy Shop of the Week: RetroFolie

I went to the Renaissance Festival last weekend. This is only the second year I've gone, and it's great fun. I've been slowly assembling costume pieces. I'm just beginning to learn to sew, and I'm not made of money so my costume is all clearance clothing I try to assembly to work for the time. We've gone on Pirate weekend both times so that's helped me fit in better. What I would really like is a corset. I'm pretty picky and haven't found one that's perfect yet, but these corsets from RetroFolie on Etsy make me want to forget my list of requirements and time period desires in favor of one of these art-inspired beauties:
Alfons Mucha Corset, $290

Each corset is it's own work of art.

They run around $250 to $350.

Oh, Becca! I totally miss the Ren Fest. I went for years when we lived in metro Detroit. So jealous!

Those corsets are simply lovely.

Glad you had a good time!

Also, I am dying to know what you, Becca, and you, Jael have been wearing lately.

I always wanted to sneak a peak at what Jael was wearing when I would occasionally see her at work. Then I kind of avoided her because I didn't want her to think that I was some weirdo, stalking her. That was a genuine concern of mine.

Today, I am boring, wearing a button-down, navy blue shirt and some torn-up army-green pants. But my toenails are red, because Wednesday was my birthday.

I'll try to post some stuff to our fb page. I've been sick and working 50 hours weeks, so mostly it's jeans, heels, and a boxy blouse.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure you wear your boxy blouse and jeans well.
